One of the primary mechanisms for improvement in distance running is building a bigger engine.  Mileage is the easiest method to improve and watch grow from year to year.  A staple of our plan for long-term development as a distance runner is consistent, accumulated mileage.  

Because mileage is so important to our success, it's one of the things we reward throughout the season via our 100 Mile Club stickers.
