Nutrition and hydration are important aspects of not only performance, but your personal health.  A major issue with high school athletes is not eating enough food, particularly carbohydrates, therefore not having the energy available to function at a high level. 

The True Sport Nutrition Guide is a high-quality, research-based publication for athletes.  There are general nutritional guidelines along with ideas for pre-meet meals and multi-event competitions like track. 

The NCAA Hydration Chart is an easy method to find out if you are hydrated enough.  Usually 3 bottles of water (32 oz) will be sufficient if consumed on a daily basis.
