I'm excited to watch the races tomorrow (online). https://nxrhl.runnerspace.com/
It's going to be a cold, snowy and muddy mess- true Cross Country!
Coach Ben will be at the course tomorrow; although we can't coach at the meet, connect with him for some positive vibes! He'll be at the bleacher area where they have the video board and awards at 7:30 for the boys and 11:30 for the girls.
The Nike Meet is a GREAT opportunity to take a chance, test your fitness and experience the pain of racing at a new level. Go after it and be tough.
Warm-up an hour before the race as usual, but stay warm until then. Wear a hat, gloves and long sleeves if you wish.
One of the things some of the old school coaches have their runners do when it's cold (and BYU did it when they won NCAA's last time) is rub some Olive Oil on their legs before they race- it makes it so your legs don't sweat and adds a "layer" of resistance from the cold.
